Punjab Halal Development Authority PHDA acts as a regulatory government agency under the supervision of Pakistan Halal Authority (PHA) to ensure consistency and uniformity of halal standards and certifications through monitoring mechanisms.
The Punjab Halal Development Agency (PHDA) has been established by the Government of Punjab with the mandate of formalizing the Halal sector i.e. Halal Certifications, Halal Business Projection, Capacity Building and Halal Food Safety Standards Compliance System with which Pakistan " Halal Hub" has been named.Opening up new opportunities to enter the global halal market by serving global and domestic consumers. PHDA is the only public sector halal certification body recognized by the Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC). PHDA is approved as a Foreign Halal Certification Body (FHCB) by JAKIM, Malaysia.
